Harris County ESD 11 Dispatcher Dolores Merlos Wins Telecommunicator of the Year
Spring, TX April 11, 2025: The Harris County ESD 11 Telecommunicator of the Year award is given to an individual who consistently provides high-quality, accurate and effective medical guidance during emergency situations.
“Dolores Merlos has been at ESD 11 since the doors opened and has been an asset ever since,” says Juan Rodriguez, Harris County ESD 11 Communications Director. “Dolores’s strict adherence to the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols is essential for delivering standardized, evidence-based care. This award celebrates excellence in maintaining these essential standards and improves patient outcomes.”
