Harris County ESD 11 Mobile Healthcare’s Christine Mangum Named as TXAPCO Trainer of the Year

Spring, TX April 3, 2025: The Texas Chapter of the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International (TXAPCO) has named Christine Mangum as Trainer of the Year for 2024.

The trainer of the year award is given by TXAPCO to a trainer within a 911 organization who shows exceptional skill and commitment to their dispatch duties as well as providing group training to new hires and ongoing training to colleagues.

“Christine has been with Harris County ESD 11 since our start-up 3 years ago, but she has been a public servant since 2012, working as a volunteer firefighter and EMT-B,” says Communications Coordinator Stephanie Michalski.  “Christine works as a team player in many ways. She offers support and guidance to other employees not just when she is teaching, but when she offers encouragement and motivation to her shift. She communicates openly with her experienced coworkers and works alongside newer employees making sure they are progressing and learning effectively. When problems or unexpected incidents occur, she is quick to focus on problem-solving solutions.  As an organization we are so lucky to have her as are the residents we serve in our district.”
